Southern Gulf NRM installed solar on the office building in May 2024 to help reduce electricity costs, thanks to a grant on behalf of the Queensland Government and the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland of $27,940.93.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund awards funding to not-for-profit community groups to enhance their capacity to provide services, leisure activities, and opportunities, and opportunities for Queensland communities. The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s one-off community grants program, distributing approximately $60 million each year to not-for-profit community groups.
