Southern Gulf NRM (SGNRM) Regional Coordination & Evaluation (RCE) project will build coordination and capacity for monitoring and evaluation in the Southern Gulf region at multiple levels. At the organisational level, SGNRM staff will undertake capacity building in SWIF methodologies and tools to ensure consistent quality contributions to statewide monitoring and evaluation, particularly through the on-ground monitoring activities applied for under the Natural Resources Recovery Program (NRRP). At the regional level, SGNRM will continue partnerships built during the previous RCE project with two local economic development organisations, collaborating on joint projects that deliver land condition improvements. Finally, SGNRM will continue to produce an annual Regional Report Card based on land condition, to educate land managers and other stakeholders at an individual and enterprise scale on the status of the region’s natural resources and the value of consistent monitoring.
This project is funded by the Queensland Government’s Natural Resources Recovery Program.
