Grazing Futures – Prepare & Prosper

Grazing Futures – Prepare & Prosper will emphasise personalised follow up support to guide producers in developing tailored business resilience plans through engaging, facilitated processes. A new business planning strategy will offer multiple entry points, enabling producers to participate at their readiness level. This includes creating concise action plans during each engagement, allowing producers to incrementally build comprehensive business plans over time, making the process more accessible than completing a full plan in one effort.

This new phase aims to foster a prosperous extensive livestock industry that drives economic stability and natural resource stewardship for future generations. Grazing-Futures Prepare & Prosper will prioritise:

  • Business Planning: Accelerate practice changes by embedding a revised business planning process into our engagements, through introducing concise action plans, which will evolve into whole business plans.
  • Follow up support: Accelerate produce progress through increased, targeted follow up contact to support the achievement of business improvement goals.
  • Diverse delivery pathways: Adopt a refined facilitated learning approach that enables incremental, transitional, and transformational improvements tailored to producer needs.
  • Adaptive delivery: Employ a flexible delivery approach to adapt to regional and individual producer needs.
  • Network development: Strengthen stakeholder networks (producer and project partners) to enhance learning and build economic, environmental and social resilience.
  • Priority groups: Engaging women, young people, First Nations, and remote producers.
  • Measuring impact: Flexibility to adapt delivery and implement a robust quantitative and qualitative monitoring, with regular reviews of lessons learned to refine project execution.
