CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST E-BEEF SMART FARMING IN NORTHERN QUEENSLAND - TECHNOLOGY TRIAL
The E-Beef Project is currently looking for landholders or commercial operators who want a helping hand to get the next great tool for beef production systems off the ground. We are looking for landholders or commercial suppliers who want to trial new technology to support cattle grazing enterprises. This may include anything from implementing new methods to track stock such as GPS monitoring devices, to finding new ways to connect to the network. All proposed trials must be in the Southern Gulf, Northern Gulf or Desert Channels regions.

CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST MANAGING CATTLE FOR PRODUCTIVITY, PROFITABILITY AND THE CARBON MARKET
Are you interested in learning more about climate-smart beef production for increased profitability and carbon abatement?
The Contribute to the development of a Beef Herd Aggregation carbon farming model that is fit for purpose in Northern Australia. Workshops will be held in early November 2019. Dates and venue to be confirmed.
The workshop will be held at the Diggers Entertainment Centre meeting room, except for the bull practical on day 2. Children are welcome to come along to the workshop. Register early as spaces are limited. Group rates also apply for 4 or more people from the same business.
Participants from the same property work as a management team in undertaking activities directly related to their own operation/beef business. Each business will come away from the workshop with a refined or new operational plan for their breeding herd, as well as breeding objectives for genetic improvement.
Are you an owner/manager of Queensland agricultural land?
If so, you are invited to complete a short research survey regarding your current practices, beliefs, and attitudes around natural resource management practices, or best management practices, particularly after amendments to Vegetation and recent parliamentary-tabled Environmental Protection (reef) legislation.
