Robert Katter

 

 
Robert Katter has a long family history in the North West with strong interest in the prosperity, history and landscape of the region. Served on the Mount Isa City Council since 2008 and involved in the local/regional tourism boards. Conducts a small property valuation business from Mount Isa after approximatly 15 years of working in the industry.

Pastoral

Charlie Hawkins

 

 

Charlie and his family own Herbertvale Station in far NW Qld which is a beef producing operation. He has been on the land all his life and has had wide experience in the pastoral industry having owned and worked properties in areas from Central Qld, Northern Darling Downs and Northern Territory. He has experience with extensive grazing trials in some of these areas and believes he has a broad knowledge of many different land types and practices.

Mining

Pieter Swart
 
 
Pieter has 18 years experience in the mining industry, split in the areas of mineral resource and environmental management.  Pieter has worked in the South African and Australian mining industries, with some project experience in Ghana.  Pieter currently works for Xstrata as Environment Manager for North Queensland.

While no longer working as the Indigenous project support officer, Ken has taken his wealth of local knowledge to his new role as a Director. Ken will continue to work with Aboriginal organisations to ensure participation in Natural Resource Management processes.

Community

Megan Munchenberg

 

 

 
Megan has been living and working on pastoral properties within the region for the past 9 years. She is currently living and has lived on Gregory Downs Station for the past 5 years. She is a member of the Gregory Landcare group and also has an active interest in the management and control of weeds within the local region. Megan is passionate about the future sustainability of the Gregory River for all the people who rely on it for their economic, social and recreational purposes.
